Role Description

The Payroll & Billing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Woddlands Texas. This position is responsible for processing weekly and/or biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy of hours, pay rates, and employee data, and managing payroll-related inquiries from internal teams and associates for multiple Allegiance Staffing branches. Daily tasks include calculating and validating timecards, handling garnishments and other payroll deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations. The role also involves preparing and issuing client invoices, reconciling billing and payroll records, and working closely with branch and corporate staff to resolve discrepancies. The specialist will maintain organized records, meet strict deadlines, support audits, and contribute to process improvements in payroll and billing operations.

Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration, including managing multi-employee payroll cycles accurately and on time.
Experience with Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and proper deduction handling.
Background in Payroll Services, such as working with payroll systems or service providers and maintaining compliant payroll records.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to reconcile payroll and billing data.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and payroll/accounting software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and associates in a professional manner.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or certification in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
Previous experience in staffing, workforce solutions, or a similar service-based environment is beneficial.
