Turn-Tech is looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Horizonal Mill Machinist to join our team. This position will run CNC Kuraki KBT-11EZ HBM with Fanuc Controls and Hass EC 1600 Horizontal Machining with Fanuc Controls.

To be successful in this role you must have 5+ years’ experience with Kuracki and Hass machines and be able to work Monday- Friday 6:00am or 7:00am-5:45pm and most Saturdays 6am or 7am-12pm.

The CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts with precision to meet customer-specific requirements. This should have experience working with mills, and knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, and work holding devices.

Responsibilities of the CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist include, but are not limited to:

Program, set up, create fixturing as needed, and operate CNC milling machines (Kuraki HBM with Fanuc Controls and Hass EC with Fanuc Controls).
Shop environment with short funs, limited production type parts.
Measure and document dimensions using micrometers, calipers and other precision tools as needed.
Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Must inspect 100% of all parts used.
Check machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.
Assure accuracy of machine, process instructions, and if necessary, modify to accomplish the highest efficiency of the CNC program utilizing available tooling/fixturing.
Prepare instructions and maintain set-up and tooling sheets using available tooling and fixturing.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in programming and operating CNC Mill machines, is most ideal.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation and shop mathematics
Proficiency in using various measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers
Experience in performing operator level maintenance on CNC Mill Machines.
Ability to program, set up, adjust, and efficiently operate machines to perform diverse and difficult operations.
Proven ability to analyze G code and make manual program edits as needed.
Ability to set up cutting tools and prove out new programs.
Ability to work with robotic equipment.
Ability to use basic shop inspection methods to include sine plates, indicators and height gages.
Ability to meet deadlines as required.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50lbs)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass background and drug screening
