Memory Care Director

Pay: $62,000–$75,000 per year, based on experienceSign-On Bonus: $5,000Schedule: Full-time leadership role, generally 40–50 hours per week

Memory care is not a department. It is a promise to families.

We are hiring a Memory Care Director for Keepsake Gardens, our dedicated 28-suite memory care neighborhood. This role is for a warm, hands-on leader who knows dementia care, can build a strong team, support families, improve programming, and bring calm structure to the day-to-day operation of memory care.

This is not a desk-only leadership role. You will coach staff, handle family concerns, support tours, watch the floor, solve staffing issues, and help keep Keepsake Gardens engaged, compliant, and moving in the right direction.

The existing Memory Care Director materials also highlight Keepsake Gardens as a dedicated 28-suite memory care neighborhood with a strong reputation for person-centered care.

What You’ll Own

Lead, coach, train, and hold accountable Memory Care caregivers and life enrichment staff
Manage Memory Care staffing, scheduling, call-outs, PTO approval, overtime, and labor expectations
Own hiring, coaching, accountability, and terminations in partnership with the Executive Director/HR
Support resident engagement, dementia programming, and daily neighborhood structure
Communicate resident changes to clinical leadership and support service plan follow-up
Respond to family concerns quickly and professionally
Assist with Memory Care tours, move-in support, and community marketing efforts
Maintain documentation standards, survey readiness, and compliance expectations

The Director job description confirms this role is responsible for the overall operation, quality, staffing, family communication, engagement, tours, compliance, and success of the Keepsake Gardens Memory Care neighborhood.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of dementia care experience required
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience required
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
CDP, CMDP, CTRS, or similar dementia-care certification preferred
Willingness to obtain certification within 6 months if not currently certified
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
Must be able to report to the community within 45 minutes when serving in an on-call capacity
Must be comfortable with rotating weekends, holidays, on-call support, and Manager-on-Duty rotation

Pay and Benefits

$62,000–$75,000 per year, based on experience
$5,000 sign-on bonus

Sign-on bonus paid in two installments: $2,500 after 90 days and $2,500 at the 6-month anniversary. Must be actively employed and in good standing at time of payout. Bonus is subject to applicable payroll taxes.
