Job Summary
Union Tech is a global, integrated manufacturer of oilfield equipment and highly engineered valves. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Union Tech operates facilities worldwide and serves customers across the energy and industrial sectors.

We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on accounting professional to join our Houston team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, takes ownership of their work, and is willing to step in wherever needed to help the business succeed. This is not a narrowly defined corporate accounting role. The right candidate will be resourceful, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats across accounting, finance, operations support, and administrative functions when necessary. Job Functions

As an Accountant, you will oversee and perform all finance and accounting functions. You will interact with other functional departments (Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, IT, etc.), locations (China, Middle East, etc.), and external parties (customers, vendors, and partners) to ensure financial transactions are reflected properly in the firm’s books and records. Additionally, you will help assess and mitigate financial risks to the firm.

· Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, depreciation, inventory accounting, standard costing reconciliations, and account reconciliations

· Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll-related transactions, and cash accounts

· Process accounting transactions accurately and timely within the ERP system (Dynamics AX and /or SAP) and external customer/vendor portals when required

· Handle intercompany accounting transactions and reconciliations across multiple global entities

· Assist with consolidated financial reporting across Union Tech entities

· Monitor revenues, costs, and margins across projects and operational activities

· Generate financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses as needed

· Coordinate with external CPA firms and advisors on tax filings, audits, and compliance matters

· Support banking, treasury, and trade-related activities, including letters of credit, wire transfers, temporary import arrangements, VAT-related matters, and other operational finance activities

· Work closely with operations, manufacturing, sales, supply chain, and leadership teams to support the day-to-day needs of the business

· Assist with special projects and operational tasks outside traditional accounting responsibilities when needed

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, or international business environment

Some legal or HR experience would be helpful.

Good understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial controls

Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics AX and SAP) and Microsoft Excel

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with domestic and international teams

Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English is strongly preferred, with the ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal business settings.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
