At Community Legal we have fun working together to help provide stability to more families. Join our fun legal team as a Staff Attorney, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal support across diverse practice areas in public interest law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise, engage in meaningful advocacy, and contribute to impactful cases. You will work closely with experienced attorneys, conduct in-depth legal research, draft essential documents, and assist with client consultations, all within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. If you are passionate about law and eager to make a difference, this is the perfect role to launch your legal career in a faith-based environment committed to restorative justice.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research
Draft legal documents, motions, pleadings, and correspondence
Prepare for hearings,negotiations, and client meetings
Represent client in court proceedings; manage regular case load.
Support case management by organizing files, maintaining records, and tracking deadlines
Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Review and analyze legal documents related to family law and guardianships.
Participate in legal administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing client communications

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam
Strong research skills
Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal drafts
Experience or familiarity with litigation processes and legal administrative procedures
Ability to analyze complex legal issues critically and communicate effectively with clients and team members
Prior experience in a law office setting or internship is preferred but not required
Desire to work in a faith-based environment.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
