Responsibilities
Assist with the daily care and management of farm animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health and behavior.
Operate agricultural machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Support livestock handling activities, including herding, loading, and ensuring proper animal husbandry practices are followed.
Maintain safety standards by adhering to established protocols during manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
Assist with irrigation systems setup and maintenance to support crop growth and greenhouse operations.
Participate in planting, harvesting, horticulture tasks, and greenhouse management to promote healthy crop production.
Skills
Proven experience in farming or agricultural environments with a strong understanding of crop cultivation and animal husbandry.
Supervising experience is preferred for overseeing team members or assisting with training new staff.
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and farm machinery confidently; certification in forklift operation is a plus.
Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance of farm machinery, welding skills, and experience with agricultural tractor operation.
Hands-on experience with livestock management including animal handling, livestock care procedures, and animal husbandry best practices.
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments along with manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse operations, and equipment maintenance routines.
Strong physical stamina for outdoor work involving heavy lifting and manual labor across varied weather conditions.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to planting schedules or feed rations.
Experience with irrigation systems setup or greenhouse management is advantageous for supporting plant growth initiatives.
