Run the overnight operation of a growing fleet maintenance company — and own it from the ground up.

About Hermont Hermont is a Canadian fleet maintenance company expanding into Texas. We keep commercial delivery vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road for national last-mile delivery operations — handling preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and mobile repair so their fleets are ready to run every single day. San Antonio is one of our first Texas markets, with Austin close behind — so the people we bring on now get in at the ground floor of our U.S. growth, with room to grow as we do.

The role We're launching a 24/7 operation in San Antonio, maintaining 900+ commercial delivery vehicles, and we're hiring a highly competent Operations Manager to run it. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with real ownership, a clear path to broader regional scope, and the chance to build a team from day one.

Because delivery vehicles are on the road by day and return to the yard at night, our core maintenance window is overnight. This role is anchored on the graveyard shift — we're looking for a leader who's genuinely comfortable owning an operation through the night, with shift leads covering days and evenings.

What you'll do

Run day-to-day operations of a 24/7 maintenance operation across three service hubs
Keep 900+ vehicles (electric delivery vans, step vans, custom delivery vans, cargo vans) available and road-ready
Anchor the overnight window; lead and develop shift leads and technicians across all shifts
Own fleet uptime, PM compliance, turnaround time, and cost-per-vehicle targets — and report on them
Ensure full compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and Texas commercial vehicle inspection requirements
Manage a mix of shop-based and mobile service across spread-out hubs
Own parts inventory, vendor relationships, and purchasing
Serve as a key operational point of contact for the client and meet service-level commitments
Enforce a strong safety culture and a clean, OSHA-aligned shop
Help launch and staff our upcoming Austin operation

What we're looking for

5+ years in fleet operations, automotive/diesel service management, or a closely related field, including direct team leadership
Experience running a 24/7, multi-shift, or high-tempo operation, and genuine willingness to work overnight hours
Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and commercial vehicle maintenance and inspection standards
A track record of hitting uptime, availability, or SLA targets
Data fluency — able to run an operation off KPIs, not gut feel
Experience with fleet management / work-order software
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice to have

Last-mile delivery, logistics, or high-volume delivery fleet experience
ASE certification or a hands-on diesel/automotive background
Electric vehicle (EV) fleet maintenance familiarity
Texas commercial vehicle inspector certification
Experience launching or scaling a new site

Compensation & time off

Base salary $85,000–$115,000/year, based on experience (reflects the 24/7 scope and overnight schedule)
Performance bonus tied to fleet uptime and service targets
Paid time off and paid vacation

Schedule

Full-time, on-site, primarily overnight / graveyard shift
Weekend and holiday coverage as needed; our operation runs 24/7, 365 days a year
