Full Job Description

Job Opportunity: Seeking a patient, supportive, and reliable companion/aide/coach for my 35-year-old son, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair and walker. He’s a great guy who loves getting out and enjoying life. This is a full-time role for someone who enjoys mentoring others, getting outdoors, being active, and wants to make a difference.

Job duties:

Spend time with him outdoors—think going to the park and going for walks (with his walker), going out to lunch, fishing trips, ball games etc.
Drive and assist him with his therapies, horseback riding, and going to the gym to supervise his swimming and assist with his workout (reliable transportation required).
Share his favorite indoor activities, such as watching sitcoms, sports (ice hockey/WNBA are favorites), assisting with his home exercise program, and playing PS2 and therapeutic games.
Help with light household duties and meal prep to keep things running smoothly.

Hours & Schedule:

Approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM—flexible within that window.

Who You Are:

Patient, supportive, motivating, and enjoys physical activity.
Comfortable assisting with mobility (wheelchair or walker) and able to lift 50 pounds.
A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle that is insured, with a clean driving record (proof required upon hire).
Background check will be performed upon hire
Experience with adults with disabilities is a plus, but we’re more interested in finding the right personality fit!

Pay: Starting at $20-22/hour as an independent contractor. Pay will be commensurate with experience. Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
