Summary
We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team at THK. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering high-quality solutions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A: Job Functions include but are not limited to:
· Responsible for maintaining networked and non-networked PCs and all related PC peripherals.
· Responsible for installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and associated equipment.
· Coordinate and process incoming IT helpdesk requests via phone, text, email or in-person (both during and after regular business hours); Contact with IT Manager is necessary if requests are received after hours.
· Document and resolve all help desk issues; ensure all work assignments are completed to end user satisfaction with all viable options being provided; provide routine input of these issues to IT Manager.
· Maintain system tape backups, rotations and test backup tapes routinely.
· Provide input and maintain standard PC software and hardware builds.
· Create software distribution scripts, updates and preventative maintenance of PCs.
· Troubleshoot software and hardware failures, identifying network problems related to PCs and/or other IT related devices.
· Provide presentations and/or workshops as required on networked PCs, software.
· Participate on project teams as deemed necessary by IT Manager.
· Assist with Local Area Network (LAN) issues as needed.
· Support IT Manager on corporate wide hardware and software installations and changes.
· Interact with internal clients on all levels for help desk support issues and provide answers in a timely manner.
· Provide local technical support for Japan’s ERP Syteline implementation and TRNA Syteline and MES system
B: Contacts
· Contacts are primarily with employees in the local office and sales office; occasional interaction with THK Rhythm Japan or outside organizations.
· Purpose is to obtain, clarify and give facts. Must communicate with IT Manager on a regular basis regarding all IT related issues and contact information.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for eight hours, talk, and hear.
· The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate degree in Information Systems or computer related field or combination of education and work experience.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, organizational skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Strong working experience with wide variety of hardware, software, PC operating systems, Microsoft Office products.
· Working knowledge of principles, practices and methods of hardware, software, operating systems, installations and upgrades.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience
