Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Your expertise in advanced imaging techniques, patient safety protocols, and equipment operation will ensure high-quality imaging services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to life-saving diagnostics while working in a collaborative and innovative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan
Operate MRI scanners and related medical imaging equipment with precision, adhering to all safety procedures and protocols
Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures including MRI, CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, sonography (ultrasound), and vascular access imaging as needed
Ensure proper image acquisition for accurate diagnosis by adjusting scanner parameters and verifying image quality before submission
Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information, technical settings, and image data using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
Follow strict aseptic techniques and equipment safety procedures to prevent contamination or injury during imaging processes
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to facilitate diagnostic evaluations and ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patients’ physiological responses during procedures, providing basic life support if necessary and responding promptly to any adverse events
Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology, anatomy knowledge, and radiology best practices to enhance service quality

Experience

Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
Familiarity with a range of diagnostic imaging modalities such as CT, DEXA scan, sonography, vascular access procedures, and general radiology techniques
Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology
Experience in using PACS for image storage, retrieval, and sharing within healthcare systems
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications in MRI safety or advanced imaging techniques are preferred
Demonstrated ability to maintain patient safety standards while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of medical equipment operation, safety procedures, and infection control practices
