About the Role:

The Front Desk position is a vital role within our health care and social assistance facility, serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position is responsible for ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment, facilitating smooth operations by managing appointments, inquiries, and patient flow. The Front Desk staff will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate patient records and providing essential information to both patients and healthcare professionals. By effectively communicating and coordinating with various departments, the Front Desk team contributes to the overall patient experience and satisfaction. Ultimately, this role is essential in supporting the mission of delivering high-quality care and assistance to our community.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
BLS Certification (if you do not currently have one, you are required to obtain your BLS Certification within 60 days of your hire date.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Certification in medical office administration or a related field.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient check-in/check-out processes.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and general information.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to facilitate patient care and services.

The required skills for this role include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with patients and staff effectively. Organizational skills are crucial for managing appointments and maintaining accurate records, ensuring that the front desk operates smoothly.
