Full Job Description

Overview

MCO Construction and Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Representative to oversee construction projects and serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. This position is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project progress, conducting field inspections, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and supporting successful project delivery across residential, multifamily, commercial, and institutional construction projects.

Duties

Serve as the primary liaison between MCO, clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Identify and document construction deficiencies, deviations, and non-compliance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
Utilize construction management software and work order systems to track project progress and maintain accurate project records.
Prepare detailed project reports, status updates, meeting minutes, and documentation for clients and management.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones to support timely project completion.
Participate in project meetings, contractor coordination meetings, and site walkthroughs.
Coordinate with local agencies, inspectors, and permitting authorities as needed.
Assist with project closeout activities, punch list inspections, final documentation, and occupancy approvals.
Maintain positive working relationships with project teams, contractors, consultants, and public stakeholders.
Support residential, multifamily, commercial, institutional, and HVAC upgrade projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction management, building systems maintenance, engineering, architecture, construction administration, field inspection, or related construction disciplines.
Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, industry standards, building systems, and applicable codes and regulations.
Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience utilizing construction management software and computerized work order systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and present findings effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required.
PMP, CCM, OSHA, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
Experience with public sector projects, capital improvement programs, facilities management, and HVAC modernization projects.
Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, or similar project management platforms.

Pay: $50.00 - $54.00 per hour
