POSITION SUMMARY
The Aviation Parts Sales Trader will be responsible for developing customer relationships, quoting aircraft component opportunities, trading company inventory, supporting purchasing opportunities, and maintaining accurate deal activity records.
This role requires strong communication, disciplined follow up, attention to documentation, and the ability to manage multiple transactions at the same time. The right candidate should be commercially minded, organized, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast moving sales environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop sales strategies to strengthen the company’s customer base
- Quote customers and follow up on all sales opportunities
- Trade company inventory through sales, exchanges, and purchase opportunities
- Create, manage, and maintain customer and supplier accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with airlines, MROs, cargo operators, and redistributors
- Maximize sales and purchasing opportunities as they arise
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Deliver timely responses and high quality customer service
- Verify parts documentation, traceability, condition, and certification requirements
- Coordinate with MRO partners on overhaul routing, repair status, and certification requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory records, quote activity, purchase activity, and deal notes
- Support pricing analysis, margin review, and transaction follow up
- Work with management to improve sales process, customer coverage, and inventory strategy
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 to 2 years of sales experience preferred
- Aviation parts, MRO, airline, logistics, or aftermarket experience preferred
- Strong presentation and relationship building skills
- Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, and management professionally
- Ability to build relationships with client and supplier decision makers
- Strong follow up discipline and attention to detail
- US resident local to Miami, Florida
- Position is primarily office based
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Language Skills
English required. Spanish strongly preferred.
The candidate must be able to effectively present information, respond to customer questions, communicate with suppliers, and interact professionally with managers, associates, clients, and industry contacts.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
Experience with aviation inventory platforms such as ILS or PartsBase is preferred.
Familiarity with Quantum Control or similar aviation ERP systems is a plus.
Mathematical Skills
The candidate must be able to calculate discounts, commissions, gross margins, proportions, percentages, and basic transaction economics.
Reasoning Abilities
The candidate must be able to solve practical problems, manage multiple transactions at the same time, interpret purchase orders, review documentation, understand customer requirements, and follow written or verbal instructions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is a disciplined sales professional who is comfortable making calls, following up consistently, building relationships, and learning the aviation parts aftermarket.
This person should be hungry, organized, responsive, and willing to learn the details of aircraft components, documentation, traceability, condition codes, certifications, MRO routing, and customer requirements.
COMPENSATION
Compensation includes base pay plus performance based commission tied to closed transactions.
Final compensation will depend on experience, aviation industry knowledge, customer relationships, and demonstrated sales ability.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
