Job Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant/Front Office professional, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for our patients. This vital role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care. You will be the first point of contact, managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and assisting with clinical procedures in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Your expertise in dental procedures, medical documentation, and patient management software will contribute to delivering top-quality dental services while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality and infection control policies.

Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
Manage medical records accurately by updating electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Handle front office duties such as answering phones, managing patient inquiries, verifying insurance coverage, processing payments, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards.
Support patient education by explaining treatment plans using dental terminology and ensuring understanding of procedures and post-care instructions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, X-ray techniques, and infection control practices.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while maintaining aseptic technique.
Knowledge of dental terminology related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and team collaboration.
Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent is preferred; additional training in medical coding or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
