Full Job Description

Ethnix Group is seeking a motivated and dependable Route Leader to oversee daily route operations while ensuring outstanding customer service and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading delivery activities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the success of the route team.

The Route Leader will deliver food and beverage products to customers, collect and reconcile payments, manage route documentation, and ensure products are delivered safely and on time. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily route operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Deliver food and beverage products to grocery stores, restaurants, and other customer locations.
Collect, verify, and reconcile customer payments, invoices, and route documentation.
Handle cash and payment transactions accurately while maintaining proper records.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service.
Train and support route team members while promoting a positive work environment.
Communicate effectively with Operations, Warehouse, Sales, and other departments regarding route performance and customer needs.
Monitor inventory and product shortages and report discrepancies promptly.
Safely load, unload, and deliver products while following company safety procedures.
Perform touch freight duties, including lifting, carrying, and moving products throughout customer locations.
Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other delivery equipment safely.
Maintain accurate route paperwork, delivery records, and customer documentation.
Ensure company vehicles are maintained through daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Identify opportunities to increase sales by promoting products and supporting customer needs.
Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in route delivery, DSD, food distribution, logistics, or a similar leadership role preferred.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Spanish speaking is required to effectively communicate with many of our customers.
Comfortable handling cash, collecting payments, and performing basic math calculations accurately.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lead by example and motivate team members.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving commercial vehicles is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Comfortable performing touch freight duties throughout the workday.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and climb throughout the shift.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions while making deliveries.
