Full Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle, this leader will provide strategic and operational oversight for all Patient Financial Services functions while driving improvements in revenue cycle performance, team engagement, and operational excellence. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity with the chance to make a significant impact and help prepare the organization for its planned EPIC EHR implementation.

Lead a team of 40+ FTEs, including a team of five supervisors

Position Summary

The Director of Patient Financial Services is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all Patient Financial Services operations, including billing, patient accounting, collections, insurance follow-up, denials management, and accounts receivable.

This leader will partner with executive leadership to improve key revenue cycle metrics, develop a high-performing team, and implement operational best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
EPIC experience is required in an acute care hospital
8+ years of progressive Patient Financial Services experience
3+ years of leadership experience within an acute care hospital
Strong knowledge of hospital billing, patient accounting, denials management, reimbursement, and revenue cycle operations
Proven success improving KPIs, cash collections, A/R performance, and operational efficiency
Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Up to $170,000, dependent on experience
