Full Job Description

Tax Associate

A growth-oriented CPA firm in Plano, TX is seeking a Tax Associate to support the preparation of business and individual tax returns. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while meeting clients and statutory deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA license or active CPA candidate with 3+ years of federal tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm
Experience with CCH ProSystem FX/ Axcess Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Assets preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and internal teams
Fast learner who works efficiently, asks questions proactively, and takes initiative
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and follow-up requirements simultaneously

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing business and related individual tax returns
Communicate with clients to gather required information, respond to questions, and ensure all internal and external deadlines are met
Interact with peers, clients, and federal/state agencies regarding compliance matters and ongoing projects
Apply and expand your tax knowledge while developing within the firm to become a key contributor to our processes and long-term success
