Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care, conducting patient assessments, and managing pharmacy operations within a clinical or hospital setting.

Duties

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate medication therapy and ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide expertise in pain management and clinical pharmacy practices to enhance patient care.
Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of necessary medications and supplies.
Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing, patient record management, and inventory tracking.
Maintain aseptic technique during the preparation of sterile products, including IV insertion when required.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized medication management plans for patients.
Educate patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and health management strategies.
Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacotherapy and participate in continuous professional development.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
Active pharmacist license in the relevant state is mandatory.
Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of pain management principles and practices is advantageous.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and medical management strategies is essential.
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for efficient operations is desired.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
