Full Job Description

A warm and easygoing family located in Cornelius, just outside of Charlotte, NC, is seeking a loving, experienced nanny to care for their infant daughter, expected in late July. The position will begin around early October, when the baby is approximately 3 months old.

This family truly values time together and, after spending a period of long distance, they deeply appreciate the opportunity to enjoy everyday moments as a unit. They prioritize honesty, transparency, and compassion in their relationships and are looking for a nanny who will naturally align with these values. Their hope is to welcome someone who will feel like an extension of the family, someone they can trust, laugh with, and build a meaningful, long-term relationship with.

Both parents work full-time. Dad works from home two days per week, and Mom works in healthcare with a varying schedule, occasionally resting at home after overnight shifts. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable in a dynamic household and respectful of changing routines.

The ideal candidate will have strong infant experience and a genuine passion for early childhood development. Someone who is structured yet flexible, able to follow a routine while also tuning into the baby’s cues, will thrive in this role. A fun-loving personality with a good sense of humor is highly valued, as the family enjoys keeping a light, positive atmosphere.

The family has two dogs and a cat, so candidates must be pet-friendly. They also have a backyard pool, so comfort in and around water is important. Their neighborhood offers great walkability, including trails and a playground, and they would love a nanny who is open to outings in the future once trust is established.

Requirements:

-Up to date on COVID boosters, flu vaccine, TDAP, and all standard childhood vaccines.

-Clean driving record and reliable car

-Nanny experience

-Infant experience

-Pet Friendly (2 dogs and a cat)

-Bonus points for those with Newborn Care Specialist Certification

Schedule & Position Details:

-The schedule will be Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

-The family is seeking someone who can commit for at least 1–2 years.

-Responsibilities will be child-focused and include the child’s laundry, preparing bottles and meals as the baby grows, loading/unloading the dishwasher as it relates to the child, light tidying of toys and spaces used during the day, and general child-related organization.

-The family is offering a pay range of $22–$25 per hour, along with guaranteed hours and paid time off.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Do you have at least 3-5 years of consistent professional childcare experience (full or part-time)? This should be in a daycare, preschool, classroom, or as a nanny or household manager. Note: this should be outside of any care you have provided for a family member.
