Full Job Description

Job Summary:

Kenos is a family restaurant located in Anaheim Hills, California. We have proudly served our neighborhood for over 31 years. Kenos has been part of the canyon community for decades, owned and operated by the Cooper family.

We are currently hiring experienced servers only to join our team. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a fast paced, full-service restaurant environment. Experience working with multiple menus is required. Wine service and steakhouse service experience are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
Make every guest feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
Inform guests of daily specials, menu changes, and available promotions.
Make recommendations you genuinely feel guests will enjoy.
Answer questions about food, beverages, restaurant services, and special functions.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.
Provide attentive service while managing multiple tables efficiently.
Perform side work at the beginning and end of each shift as assigned.
Maintain clean and organized service areas.
Monitor the guest dining experience and ensure guests are satisfied with their food and service.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
Prepare the final bill, present the check, accept payment, process credit card charges, and make change when needed.
Assist fellow servers as needed.
Assist bussers with clearing and resetting tables when needed.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Responsibilities:

Must have experience working in a fast paced, full service restaurant environment.
Must be comfortable working with multiple menus.
Must have schedule flexibility and be available to work both day and night shifts.
Wine service experience is a plus.
Steakhouse service experience is a plus.
Ability to provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.
Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and team members.
Strong knowledge of dining room service procedures and restaurant operations.
Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and credit card payments accurately.
Ability to operate a point of sale system.
Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple tables and guest needs.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 5 hours.
Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food frequently weighing 20 to 25 pounds.
Be available to fill in as needed to help ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
