Full Job Description

Who are we?

We are a continually growing and successful optometry practice looking for a part-time vision therapist to fill an open position. Our office is highly sought out for scleral lenses, myopia management and vision therapy. Vision therapy helps individuals reach their highest potential through a holistic therapeutic approach to strengthen your eye to brain connection.

We are looking for a part-time (28hr/week) The position will be:

2-7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays
10-7 pm on Thursdays

During the majority of these hours, you will be prepared to conduct 50 minute sessions of vision care. We are committed to ensuring our employees receive proper training so they can confidently provide excellent service and help patients with their condition. We provide advancement opportunities for therapists to become Certified Optometric Vision Therapists. Paid attendance for continued education enrichment programs. Incentive program creating opportunities to acquire bonuses for each patient you serve.

Responsibilities:

-Treating patients for 1:1 care, 50 minute session, performing evaluations, and note taking. Planning patient activities.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and utilizing electronic medical records systems, such as Crystal PM

-Handle communication between the patients, parent or guardian, handling scheduling issues.

-Attend weekly vision therapy meetings.

- Collaborate with doctors to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.

- Work in a medical office setting, interacting with patients and healthcare staff while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED

(Preferably a background in teaching, health sciences, child development, low-vision, OT, vestibular rehabilitation or other therapeutic training.)

- A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

- Is able to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
