Job Title: Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist III - Floater

Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Duration: 03 Months+ Highly Possible Extension

Shift: 6am to 5pm

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) to provide high-quality patient service and phlebotomy support across multiple locations. The PSR III will perform blood collection, specimen processing, patient verification, and documentation while maintaining a professional and comfortable experience for patients.

This is a floater position, so the selected candidate may be assigned to different patient service centers, physician offices, or other locations based on business needs. Travel and schedule flexibility are required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate and safe blood draws for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient signatures after venipuncture.
Ensure specimen tubes are correctly labeled in the patient's presence.
Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and supervisors.
Work independently and use good judgment when making decisions within established procedures.
Travel between multiple patient service centers and physician office locations as needed.
Provide coverage at different locations with minimal notice when required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
3+ years of phlebotomy experience – Required.
Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections – Required.
Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience – Preferred.
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training – Preferred.
Phlebotomy certification – Preferred and required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment – Preferred.
Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Must be flexible with schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime as needed.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record may be required depending on assignment.

Floater Requirements

Willingness to travel between multiple locations.
Must be able to work at patient service centers and physician offices as assigned.
Flexible hours and availability to provide coverage with minimal notice.
Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.

Pay: $25.30 - $31.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
