Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients and vendors to develop competitive bids. Your expertise will directly influence project profitability and success, ensuring that all estimates align with project scope, budget constraints, and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and project management.

Duties

Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information and validate project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing data and negotiate favorable terms.
Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Monitor project budgets during execution to ensure cost control and identify potential overruns early.
Prepare bid packages, including detailed scopes of work, pricing summaries, and contractual considerations related to construction contracts.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable for accurate assessment of onsite conditions.
Proficiency in estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential for efficient bid preparation.
Solid knowledge of construction contracts, cost control practices, and project management principles.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
Familiarity with construction site safety standards and regulations enhances estimate accuracy and project planning.
Excellent communication skills to clearly present estimates, negotiate terms, and collaborate across teams.
