Major Duties Include:
- Incumbent provides specialized and expert administrative patient support while working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.
- Specialized administrative judgment and the flexible use of a wide range of clinical flow processes relating to access to care across multiple clinics, specialties, and/or care in the community resources.
- Coordinates with the patient care team to review clinic appointment availability (utilization) to ensure that clinic schedules are closely monitored to effectively support the needs of the clinics
- Incumbent is responsible for assuring that various aspects of staffing, training, compliance, reporting, quality assurance, and budgetary initiatives are met.
- Integral role in identifying and developing ways to resolve problems with the administrative and clinical staff on access, customer service, patient flow, revenue, and data validation issues.
- Incumbent is acting as a receptionist at the clinic, either face-to-face or telephonically, requiring excellent customer service skills.
- Work requires a high degree of judgment in responding to both employee and patient concerns and providing solutions to process problems as they affect day-to-day operations.
- Frequent visits to off-site clinics to fill-in for or interact with the Clinical Support Section employees and clinical/administrative staff in these areas.
- Incumbent may be required to work staggered shifts and/or weekend clinics in support of Advanced Clinic Access initiatives.

Basic Requirements:

- Six months experience of clerical, office, customer service, or other administrative work that indicates the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position; OR high school diploma with desire of some post high school education or equivalent experience.
- Experience/Education Combination. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying for entry level for which both education and experience are acceptable.
- Certification. None required.
- Foreign Education: To be creditable, education completed outside the U.S. must have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in the interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education must have been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. programs.

- 1 year experience managing patient communications in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model (e.g. telephone and/or email)
- 1 year experience documenting appropriate information into an electronic medial record
- 1 year of administrative/office customer service skills in de-escalation, problem solving, decision making, and tactful communication skills orally and in in writing
