Full Job Description

Stout’s at the Shore is a fine dining restaurant at Cinnamon Shore, where elevated cuisine meets coastal charm—and we’re building a team that shares our passion for excellence.

We’re looking for a talented, driven Sous Chef with strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality. This is an opportunity to play a vital role in establishing a new culinary destination, with room to grow as we expand.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership kitchen role
Strong culinary skills and hands-on experience in high-volume kitchens
High standards for quality, presentation, and cleanliness
Inventory and food cost control experience
Ability to lead and train a kitchen team with professionalism and positivity
Comfortable under pressure, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
Valid Texas Food Handler’s Certification required

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including training and mentoring
Manage inventory and assist with supply ordering
Help maintain food and labor cost targets
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Participate in menu development and recipe testing
Step in and lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

Hours of Operation:

Sun - Thu| 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Fri - Sat | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Shifts will be scheduled based on the restaurant’s operating hours and kitchen leadership needs.
