Full Job Description

Shopping Center Facility Manager

Our client is an owner-operator of retail commercial real estate throughout the country; we are seeking a Facility Manager to oversee operations across their commercial real estate and shopping center portfolio — from new developments to operational shopping centers and supermarket shop-in-shop spaces. This role manages facility operations for multiple centers, including third-party vendor solutions, repairs, construction, and preventive maintenance. Ideal for someone with a maintenance/construction background looking to transition into an office-style facility management role.

What You'll Do

· Oversee vendor-conducted repairs, tenant improvements, and day-to-day maintenance

· Maintain center aesthetics and the overall customer shopping experience

· Manage building systems: structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and electrical

· Conduct regular inspections and site walks to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities

· Prepare and execute RFPs for CAM/CAPX projects, including bidding and vendor selection

· Review drawings, repair estimates, and maintenance proposals

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and mall safety regulations

· Coordinate with accounting on billing and fund allocation

What You Bring

· Bachelor's degree in construction, real estate, or sustainability

· 5+ years in retail/commercial/shopping center operations or facility management

· Experience managing vendor relationships, RFPs, and bid processes

· Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, and electrical systems

· CPM, IFMA, PMP, AIA, PE, or LEED-AP a plus

· Bilingual English/Mandarin a plus

· Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

· Ability to lift 25 lbs. and comfortable with both desk work and on-site walking/standing
