Job Summary

As a QA Tester your duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to; assisting navigating a specialized team for specific content, creating test plans, compiling bugs for reports, or testing specific features independently. Reviewing documentation from Devs and providing feedback as well as knowledge transfer to other teams. Communicating status to PD/Dev teams as well as Management and working with a cross functional team that spans multiple organizations and locations. You will also be responsible for triaging and regressing bugs and helping triage bugs entered by an outsource QA team.

Essential Job Functions

Roles and responsibilities can often be expanded to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives. Accordingly, employees may be asked to perform duties that are outside the specific functions that are listed.

Strong familiarity with PC MMO products and/or Third Person Shooters

Familiarity with Console testing

Using established methods, test games for ease of use, reliability, consistency, and ensure absence of defects

Create and execute functionality test plans and checklists as assigned up to and including;

o Game systems (UI/Combat/Questing/Store/tools etc.)

o Platform systems (Account/Login/Fraud/Tools

o Web systems (Marketing Sites/Newsletters/Web Shops etc.)

Log and regress all defects found during testing into the appropriate defect tracking software

Provide clear and detailed written reports of bugs and repro steps to the development team

Bring serious defects to the attention of QA Leadership and/or PD

Work on multiple, complex tasks at the same time and be accountable for completion

Review documentation, provide feedback and edits where appropriate

Investigate defects fully when given little data

Help the Manager/Lead monitor Outsource resources and identify gaps

Main point of contact for all QA issues relating to assigned project(s)

Qualifications/Skills Sets

Education & Experience
What education, specialized training, is required to perform this job? How many years of directly related experience are required for the job? Can additional experience or education be substituted for all or part of requirement?

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

2+ years of experience with software QA testing, preferably PC MMO or FPS QA testing

o Note a mix of ISTQB and other Certifications coupled with relevant experience may be substituted/considered

o Console experience is also a plus

Demonstrated knowledge of working with others from cross functional teams
