Full Job Description

Join Our Clinical Research Team

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and participant-focused Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Omaha office. In this role, you will help manage the day-to-day activities of clinical research studies while ensuring that participants receive a professional, respectful, and positive experience.

The ideal candidate has hands-on clinical research experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple study responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.

Phlebotomy and clinical research participant recruitment experience are essential for this position. Candidates must be comfortable engaging with prospective participants, supporting enrollment and retention goals, and performing blood draws in accordance with study protocols and site procedures.

What You’ll Do

As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will coordinate study activities in accordance with research protocols, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

Recruiting, prescreening, screening, and enrolling qualified research participants
Conducting study visits and ensuring that all protocol requirements are completed accurately
Performing phlebotomy and blood draws as required by study protocols
Explaining study requirements and obtaining documented informed consent
Collecting, entering, reviewing, and maintaining accurate study data
Creating and maintaining complete source documentation
Communicating with participants regarding appointments, study requirements, follow-up, and visit preparation
Supporting participant engagement, retention, and a positive overall study experience
Coordinating with investigators, sponsors, monitors, laboratories, and internal team members
Maintaining regulatory binders, participant files, study logs, and other required records
Preparing for monitoring visits, audits, and sponsor requests
Assisting with laboratory specimen processing, storage, packaging, and shipping when required
Protecting participant confidentiality and handling health information appropriately
Following Good Clinical Practice, infection-control, safety, and applicable regulatory standards

What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or in a similar clinical research role
At least one year of hands-on phlebotomy experience
Ability to perform blood draws safely, confidently, and in accordance with study protocols and site procedures
Experience recruiting, screening, enrolling, and retaining clinical research participants
Understanding of clinical research workflows and study-visit coordination
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and regulatory documentation requirements
Experience collecting study data and maintaining accurate source documentation
Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic data capture systems, electronic records, and Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet study deadlines
Professional, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle participant information

Preferred Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification
Experience with clinical trials, observational studies, registries, or sponsor-led research
Experience with laboratory specimen processing, storage, shipping, and chain-of-custody procedures
Experience using participant recruitment databases or prescreening systems
Experience with community outreach, recruitment campaigns, or other participant-engagement initiatives

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Omaha, Nebraska. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Some scheduling flexibility may be required based on participant availability, study visits, sponsor requirements, and protocol needs. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

While performing this role, the employee may be required to:

Stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
Sit at a desk and use a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods
Stand during participant visits, clinical procedures, specimen handling, and study preparation
Use hands and fingers to perform phlebotomy, handle clinical supplies, process specimens, and operate equipment
Lift, carry, push, or pull clinical supplies, study materials, files, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
Organize, move, and stock study supplies and laboratory materials
Communicate clearly in person, by phone, electronically, and in writing
Work in a clinical environment where exposure to blood, bodily fluids, needles, laboratory specimens, infectious materials, or other potential hazards may occur
Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and comply with infection-control standards
