Tax Senior

RC&C CPAs – Covina, CA
$85,000–$110,000 per year | Full-Time | Hybrid Opportunity | Overtime Opportunity

RC&C is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our growing tax practice.

This role is ideal for a public accounting professional who can independently prepare and review complex tax returns, work directly with clients, assist with tax planning, and support managers and partners on a variety of engagements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and trust tax returns
Assist with tax projections and planning strategies
Research federal and state tax issues
Respond to tax notices and client questions
Review work prepared by staff accountants
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests
Manage assigned projects and deadlines
Assist with training and mentoring less experienced staff
Work closely with managers and partners on tax planning and consulting matters

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3–5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong Excel skills

Preferred

CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Experience with tax planning and projections
Thomson Reuters UltraTax experience
