Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This position is focused on Blood Bank operations and offers a 40-hour evening shift schedule with every third weekend rotation. The ideal candidate will have strong blood bank experience, excellent laboratory skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details

Position: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (Blood Bank)
Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia
Shift: Evening Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Schedule: 40 hours per week, every third weekend rotation
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 31, 2026

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist experience in the specialty.
Blood Bank experience is required.
Must hold one of the following certifications:
ASCP
NCA
AMT
AAB
HHS
Must be a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) will not be considered.
Prior travel assignment experience is required.
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
Must be willing to work the required holiday schedule, including designated major and minor holidays.
Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location.

Responsibilities

Perform blood bank testing and compatibility procedures accurately and efficiently.
Conduct laboratory testing on patient specimens following established protocols.
Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results while maintaining quality standards.
Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
Assist with inventory management and maintain adequate laboratory supplies.
Float to other laboratory areas if needed based on departmental requirements.

Pay: $1,700.00 - $1,900.00 per week
