Full Job Description

Fretboard Brewing is looking to hire a full time Kitchen Lead for our in house kitchen. Requirements for the positions include having a reliable way of transportation (we are NOT on a bus line), a valid bank account for direct deposits, a great work ethic, ability to listen to and follow direction, and a can-do positive attitude. Applicants with past applicable experiences are a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Details for each position are as follows:

Kitchen Lead:

Fretboard Brewing Company is seeking a dependable, motivated Kitchen Lead to support the General Manager in leading Back of House operations. This position serves as the shift leader for the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, food safety, cleanliness, teamwork, and an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and support kitchen staff during assigned shifts.

· Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.

· Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback.

· Support inventory management and communicate product needs.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.

· Coordinate effectively with Front of House and management.

· Model professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

· Previous commercial kitchen experience required.

· Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

· ServSafe Certification preferred but not required.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

· Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

· Stand and walk for extended periods.

· Work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen conditions.

Availability

· Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

What We Expect

The Kitchen Lead is expected to set the standard for professionalism, food quality, cleanliness, teamwork, and guest service while supporting the General Manager in building a positive and accountable kitchen culture.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
