Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House is a premium all-you-can-eat shabu concept centered on quality wagyu, flavorful broths, polished service, and an elevated interactive dining experience. We are looking for friendly, dependable, and hospitality-driven Restaurant Crew Members who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service and cleanliness standards.
Position Summary
Restaurant Crew Members support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations and play a key role in delivering the Mikiya experience. Team members may greet guests, explain menu tiers and the shabu dining process, prepare ingredients, maintain clean and organized stations, deliver food accurately, and help ensure every table receives attentive and polished service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, moves with urgency, and takes pride in creating a premium guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional, and polished attitude
- Explain menu tiers, broths, sauces, and the shabu dining experience clearly and confidently
- Guide guests through ordering and answer menu questions with patience and product knowledge
- Prepare and deliver food according to presentation and quality standards
- Assist with table setup, table maintenance, resetting, and overall dining room presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest areas, service stations, and kitchen workspaces
- Restock meats, vegetables, sauces, utensils, to-go supplies, and other service items throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and service team members to ensure timely and accurate service
- Support teammates during high-volume periods and help maintain smooth service flow
- Complete opening duties, closing duties, side work, and cleaning assignments
- Address guest questions and basic concerns professionally and respectfully
- Help create a memorable, high-standard dining experience that reflects the Mikiya brand
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn menu details, broth options, sauces, and service standards
- Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, preferred
- Previous restaurant, hot pot, Japanese dining, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
Preferred Experience
- Experience in full-service dining or high-volume restaurant environments
- Experience explaining menu items and guiding guests through an interactive dining experience
- POS and cash handling experience
- Food prep, runner, busser, host, or service support experience
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and detail-oriented during busy shifts
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to work in Seattle, WA
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card if required for the position
- Must be able to meet attendance, punctuality, and scheduling expectations
Pay: From $21.30 per hour
