Staff Attorney - Family Law Unit, Covington Office

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services is a non-profit that provides free, civil legal aid to low-income people throughout southeast Louisiana. We fight fairness for vulnerable people by empowering abused and neglected children, preserving housing for hard-working families, ending homelessness for disabled and veterans, protecting elderly consumers, removing barriers to access medical care, improving access to employment and education, and protecting domestic violence victims.

SLLS is currently looking to hire:

Staff Attorney covers both St. Tammany and Washington Parishes for the SLLS Covington office, handling family law matters such as divorces, ex parte and standard custody, child support, and domestic violence cases, such as protective orders and emergency custody. In addition, participates in self-help on Mondays and/or Wednesdays in the Franklinton office. SLLS provides mileage reimbursement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.

Full-time staff attorney positions require admission to the Louisiana bar.

Salary range is $54,563 - $90,563, based on years of experience, e.g., 0-1 years is $54,563 and $81,563 is the max starting salary. Bilingualism is a plus that receives extra compensation.
