Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Production Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our production facility. This role is vital in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining the highest quality standards. As a key leader on the shop floor, you will coordinate team activities, enforce safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance. Your hands-on mechanical knowledge and leadership skills will empower your team to meet production goals and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of production workers on the assembly line, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Monitor daily production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet output targets.
Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
Utilize measuring instruments, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to verify product specifications and quality standards.
Operate and oversee the use of power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and other equipment necessary for assembly and material handling.
Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.
Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents to guide mechanical assembly processes accurately.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including shift reports, incident logs, and quality documentation.
Collaborate with management on training initiatives, process adjustments, and safety compliance measures to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Most be bilingual.

Experience

Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory environment with hands-on mechanical assembly responsibilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing production or assembly teams in a fast-paced setting.
Familiarity with manufacturing management systems and the ability to interpret production documents confidently.
Strong knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of safety equipment and adherence to protocols.
Experience working with measuring instruments, technical drawings, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment.
Background in lean manufacturing practices or process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety compliance.
