Full Job Description

The Restaurant/ Dining Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily dining room operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, and leading a team of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all front-of-house dining room operations.
Lead, coach, train, and develop service staff to ensure consistent execution of service standards.
Schedule and manage labor to meet business demands while controlling costs.
Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through proactive service and engagement.
Maintain dining room appearance, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities and special events.
Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, accountability, and disciplinary action when necessary.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in fine dining, upscale restaurant, hotel, or private club environments.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a service team.
Strong knowledge of food, wine, beverage service, and hospitality standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant management software preferred.
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
