Full Job Description

Ocean State Credit Union looking for a Member Service/Teller to continue to build positive member relationships through new membership opportunities, as well as evaluating and maintaining existing ones.

General Responsibilities

Ensures confidentiality of member transactions.
Maintains knowledge of available member products and services.
Maintains required level of quality and quantity of work.
Observes security procedures

Duties include:

- Greets and welcomes members in a courteous, professional manner

- Open and close accounts. Answer member questions regarding credit union products.

- Accurately process a variety of savings, checking, IRA and loan account transactions, as well as requests for stop payments, check orders and debit cards.

- Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing while maintaining member confidentiality at all times.

· Adhere to proper opening and closing procedures; Balance cash drawer and perform all end of day functions

- Ensures that transactions are processed in compliance with regulations and applicable laws, e.g., Regulation CC and the Bank Secrecy Act, etc.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years teller and other banking experience,
Demonstrated working knowledge of savings and checking accounts, products and services
Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills

Hours and Schedule:

40 hours per week Monday through Friday & Saturday morning. Schedule varies depending on branch needs.
