Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to join our dynamic team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strategic fraud oversight- Leads the credit union’s fraud prevention strategy, including system selection, data analysis, and risk assessment while collaborating with Compliance, Accounting, and IT to enhance the overall fraud posture of the credit union.
· Manage fraud analytics tools and transaction monitoring platforms – Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the credit union’s fraud detection systems across multiple platforms including but not limited to core and digital banking, AML solutions, and card service. Perform comprehensive evaluations of current and potential fraud controls, tools, and platforms.
· Analyze and report on fraud trends - Identify patterns, emerging threats, trends, establish KPIs, and recommend rule changes or controls to mitigate risk.
· Participate in process and control reviews- Provide input on root-cause analysis of fraud events and recommend changes to procedures to reduce fraud losses and improve member experience.
· Manage fraud related cases- Collaborate with Compliance, Accounting, and IT to investigate suspicious activity, analyze transactions to determine whether activity Is legitimate or fraudulent, contact members when necessary, and document investigations thoroughly.
· Support member education and awareness- Develop and implement programs to educate members on fraud risks and prevention tactics, fostering a culture of vigilance and proactive engagement.
· Stay informed of emerging fraud trends- Monitoring industrywide trends and emerging threats to proactively implement mitigation tactics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· College degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
· Prior Credit Union or other financial institution experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Relevant NACHA certifications or a willingness to obtain them, or equivalent expertise in payment systems and compliance.
· Knowledge of check processing, purchasing, facilities, records, security, and quality control procedures and programs.
· Understanding related legal and regulatory requirements.
· Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.

Pay: $41,570.00 - $66,513.00 per year
