Part-Time Bookkeeper / Property Management Assistant

Company: Hillside Management

Location: Union, NJ

Position: Part-Time (Approximately 4 Hours Per Day)

About Us

Hillside Management is a growing residential property management company managing properties throughout New Jersey. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to assist with bookkeeping, tenant account management, and daily office operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible part-time position with room to grow as our company continues to expand.

Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate tenant ledgers using AppFolio

* Process rent payments, security deposits, and tenant charges

* Enter vendor invoices and process payments

* Reconcile accounts and assist with bookkeeping tasks

* Communicate with tenants regarding balances, payments, and general account questions

* Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and work orders

* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable

* Update and maintain records within AppFolio

* Prepare reports for management as needed

* Perform general administrative and office duties

Qualifications

* Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience preferred

* Experience with AppFolio is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train someone who learns new software quickly.

* Strong computer skills and comfort learning new technology

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Highly organized with strong attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

* Reliable, trustworthy, and professional

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, enjoys staying organized, and is comfortable handling both bookkeeping and day-to-day property management administrative tasks. The right candidate should be eager to learn, communicate professionally with tenants and vendors, and take pride in keeping accurate financial records.

Schedule

* Part-Time

* Approximately 4 hours per day

* Monday–Friday

* Flexible schedule available
