Overview

We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Supervisor to oversee daily shift operations in our fast-paced environment. A supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities, production, and work schedule of the assigned shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our team delivers exceptional envelope products and high standards of safety and quality.

Duties

Follow the Company's Safety Programs and Policies
Ensures compliance with safety, federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
Accountable for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
Communicates and collaborates with the team to keep the tasks aligned with goals and to optimize production processes.
Responsible for reaching shift target goals for the department, evaluating performance, and conducting documented performance management and development conversations with all direct reports.
Responsibilities include working with the plant manager in process improvements, maintaining and updating equipment and machinery, working with the machine shop team on goals, planning, and directing all equipment improvements of the Company.
Experience and knowledge with mechanical systems and industrial electrical installation.
Troubleshotting and maintenance, including familiarity with high voltage equipment, power distribution, motors, and controls, as well as PLC Logic & troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read schematics and electrical blueprints, and designs.
Possess skills in using a wide variety of hand/power tools.
Familiarity with how to use and read meters.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions by using fault codes or safeties.
Capable of disassembling, fixing mechanical and electrical components, and then reassembling putting machine back into production successfully.
Proficiency in setup and operation of machines according to prints and work instructions
Monitor machine operations to ensure high quality and accuracy of production.
Measures finished parts utilizing precision tools to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
Responsible for inspecting equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment as well as performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance on equipment.
Inspects finished products with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers for quality and adherence to specifications
Troubleshoot machine errors and perform maintenance as needed
Communicates and collaborates with the team to keep the tasks aligned with goals and to optimize production processes.
Performs quality control throughout work assignments to maintain the standards expected.
Maintain necessary records and complete process documentation and any production records, as required
Perform minor maintenance on machines and assist maintenance personnel as required during repairs
When the workload is light, assist other areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

5-7 years of work experience required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Experience with envelope operations and maintenance.
Basic math skills to calculate quantities and measurements.
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of envelope machining processes.
Electrical and Machining background in manufacturing preferred.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
