Full Job Description

Position Purpose

This position will support the front-of-house operations of the restaurant, including running food, bussing tables, assisting with glassware and resetting of tables.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks - Depending on the shift’s role, a combination of these:

Setup stations for the assigned shifts, to ensure sanitation supplies, trays and bus tubs are available.
Deliver food from the kitchen to their assigned tables, as orders are completed.
Assist in setup of tables before seating guests.
Pre-bus tables and clear empty plates while guests are seated.
Clear and clean tables after guests have departed.
Replace and refill glass bottles during guest meals, as empty.
Clean glassware in the bar dish machine as needed or requested.
Clear and replace bus tubs from service carts as needed or requested.
Assist with end-of-shift sweeping and/or mopping as needed or requested.
Provide great customer service.

Qualifications

Able to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
High-quality work while unsupervised.
Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of glassware and food when necessary.
Able to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.

Preferences

Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess.
Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Experience in managing reservations.
Demonstrable customer-service skills.
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
Pleasant, friendly, and accommodating to customers.
Team player.
Able to accommodate different personalities.

Work Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
