Human Resource Generalist II
Reports to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The HR generalist II performs human resources-related duties and may carry out responsibilities in all the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, employment, benefit management, labor relations, and compensation analysis. The HR Generalist II must be a US citizen with a valid driver’s license.
Essential Functions
1. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
2. Partners with employees and CHRO to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
3. Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
4. Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
5. Screens and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings.
6. As required prepares payroll, 401(k) changes and contribution files, benefit enrollment and supports other employee benefit platforms such as healthcare, dental and disability insurance as directed.
7. Counsel employees on plan provisions so individuals can make informed decisions.
8. Resolve employee complaints related to health and welfare plans and refer all questionable complaints to the CHRO.
9. Timely response of requested reports and remittance of payments or reconciliation of benefit programs.
10. Performs all skills with a high-level of accuracy with basic supervision.
11. Assist in forecasting salary increases, annual merit increases, overtime, and compensation packages.
12. Develops and updates HR procedures to ensure continuity.
13. Posts openings internally on company website and externally on other recruiting appropriate venues.
14. Collects candidate feedback pre and post interview and records all data appropriately
15. Conducts new-hire orientation.
16. Must follow the employee handbook and maintain strict confidentiality regarding work performed, as well as protect company proprietary information.
17. Must be able to adhere to all corporate policies, standards, procedures, company goals and priorities, company core values, and practices.
18. Basic knowledge of Cobra, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.
19. Possess a broad understanding of HR and travel industry terminology.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. Drug screening required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The HR Generalist II is required to communicate verbally and in writing to engage employees and vendors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5 p.m. Overtime is expected occasionally.
Travel
Up to 10% travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related business field.
2. 4 or more years of experience in a human resource role.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
Work Authorization (if applicable)
Must be a US Citizen and able to read, speak and understand English.
Other Duties
As directed by the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Pay: $59,281.00 - $96,614.00 per year
