Full Job Description

The Role

byTomCat Custom Apparel is a Fort Walton Beach custom-apparel shop and the home of Red7Tees, our print-on-demand and B2B printing brand. We're hiring a field-based Outside Sales Representative to drive growth across both brands' commercial apparel business.

This is a hunter role: build new B2B accounts (schools, teams, local businesses, corporate apparel) and work our list of dormant or underperforming store-owner accounts as a source of opportunity, not a required starting point. You choose where you find your sales.

You won't be starting from a blank page. We have 56 previously-active accounts that generated a combined $238,000 per year when they were running. That list is yours to work if you want it - alongside whatever you build yourself.

Territory is centered on Okaloosa County, South Walton (Destin, Sandestin), and South Santa Rosa (Navarre, Navarre Beach, Midway), though it's not formally restricted. Success here means finding a pocket and working it, not spreading thin trying to cover everywhere at once.

This is a different seat than our Customer Service Rep. The CSR owns inbound quotes and day-to-day customer service. You own outbound relationship-building and account growth, in the field, face-to-face.

Location

Field-based. Regular check-ins at our Fort Walton Beach location for briefings and prep. (This is not a desk or counter position.)

Schedule & Pay

Hours: Results-based and flexible. Regular in-office check-ins for briefings and prep, may shift to call-in as the role matures.
Type: Full-time, commission-based, performance role
Pay: 20% commission on gross sales, with a $2,000/month guaranteed minimum. The guarantee is a floor, not a base. There's no cap on what you can earn above it.
You own your accounts. When you land an account or set up an affiliate store, it's yours (including the reorders.) Over 40% of our B2B customer's come back, so the book you build keeps paying you, not just the first order.

What You'll Do

Build and close new business across Red7Tees and byTomCat's commercial product lines: new B2B accounts, dormant or underperforming store-owner reactivations, or any other source of sales you develop
Coordinate with our Customer Service Rep on lead handoff and order entry once an account is active
Coordinate with production on capacity and lead times when quoting larger or time-sensitive jobs
Build and manage your own pipeline: track who you've called on, what's outstanding, what's closed

Your First 90 Days

Weeks 1 - 2: learn the product line, pricing, and production capability; call on dormant accounts
Weeks 3 - 12: consistent outbound activity in the field, quotes issued, first accounts closed
We'll agree specific activity targets with you up front so you always know where you stand.

What We're Looking For

Comfortable with outbound, in-person sales: cold calls, walk-ins, relationship building from scratch
Self-directed; you set your own schedule and are accountable for your own results
Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license; you'll be on the road most of the week
Organized enough to manage a territory and pipeline without someone tracking it for you

Nice to Have

Experience in promotional products, custom apparel, or a related B2B sales environment
Existing relationships with local businesses, schools, or military-affiliated organizations in the territory
Familiarity with DecoNet or similar quoting/order systems
