Full Job Description

Position Summary

Remsco is hiring a Counter Sales Associate for our Crestview, FL branch. Remsco is a third-generation, family owned independent HVAC wholesale distributor serving the Florida Panhandle for 70 years. We distribute HVAC/R equipment, supplies, and replacement parts to licensed contractors throughout Northwest Florida.

This is a front line role. You are the face of Remsco to the contractors who count on us every day. The primary focus is counter sales, helping customers identify parts, troubleshoot equipment, and process orders accurately and quickly. You'll also support purchasing, warehouse operations, and other branch duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Counter Sales

Serve walk-in and phone customers, primarily licensed HVAC contractors, with speed, accuracy, and a helpful attitude.
Identify parts, equipment, and supplies from customer descriptions, model numbers, or equipment photos.
Provide basic troubleshooting guidance using counter reference tools and your own product knowledge.
Quote pricing, check availability, and process sales orders accurately in our distribution software.
Handle cash receipts and maintain adherence to all company pricing and loss prevention policies.
Follow up on special orders and back-ordered items, keeping customers informed.

Purchasing & Inventory

Assist with purchasing tasks including generating purchase orders, receiving inventory, and verifying shipments against packing lists.
Coordinate with vendors on order status, discrepancies, and returns.
Participate in inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
Stock shelves and maintain accurate bin locations.

Warehouse & Branch Operations

Pull and stage customer orders for counter pickup or delivery.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and counter area.
Support the branch manager and team on additional duties as required.

Qualifications Required

High school diploma or GED.
1 or more years of customer service, sales, or warehouse experience.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
Comfortable learning distribution point-of-sale software.

Preferred

Prior experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building materials wholesale or supply.
Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, parts, or refrigeration systems.
EPA 608 certification or HVAC technical training.

What We Offer

$17.00–$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (8-hour shift with 1-hour lunch) no nights, no weekends.
