Full Job Description

Contracts & Sub-Contracts Manager

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, UCC contract law, Firm-Fixed-Price contracts, and aerospace/defense contract management.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, structure, and negotiate complex aerospace and defense agreements
Manage prime contracts and subcontracts, including Firm-Fixed-Price agreements
Structure Long-Term Agreements and Master Purchase Agreements
Review RFPs to identify technical, schedule, liability, and compliance risks
Support compliance with FAR, DFARS, AS9100, ITAR, EAR, and related aerospace/defense requirements
Lead negotiations involving pricing, intellectual property rights, and liability limits
Conduct price analysis and cost evaluations for aerospace hardware and engineering services
Execute contract modifications related to Engineering Change Proposals and scope changes
Issue formal change orders to sub-tier vendors for aerospace hardware configuration changes
Manage contract amendments and modifications throughout program execution
Track CDRLs, Data Item Descriptions, and other contract deliverables
Support formal closeout procedures for classified and unclassified aerospace programs

Required Experience and Qualifications

7+ years of aerospace and defense contract management experience
Experience managing both prime contracts and subcontracts
Firm-Fixed-Price contract experience
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and UCC contract law
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field
Experience reviewing RFPs for technical, schedule, and liability risks
Experience with aerospace quality standards, including AS9100
Strong negotiation skills involving pricing, IP rights, liability, and contract terms
Ability to perform price analysis and cost evaluations
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

NCMA certification
CFCM or CPCM certification
Experience with aerospace hardware contracts
Experience with engineering services contracts
Experience with Engineering Change Proposals
Experience managing CDRLs and Data Item Descriptions
Experience supporting aerospace program closeout
