Full Job Description

OCD Window Tinting & Wraps is looking for an outgoing, sharp, organized, and highly personable Customer Service Representative to be the face and voice of our business.

This is not a typical receptionist position.

We are a busy, growing automotive restyling shop specializing in premium window tint, paint protection film (PPF), ceramic coatings, and vehicle wraps. Our customers rely on our front desk team not only to schedule appointments, but to understand their needs, explain their options, recommend the right products and services, and guide them through the entire customer experience.

We need someone who can learn our products, communicate confidently, sell effectively without being pushy, and keep a busy shop schedule organized.

You do not need previous experience with window tint, PPF, or ceramic coatings—we can teach you our products and services.

What we're looking for is someone with natural communication skills, confidence, organization, and the ability to think on their feet.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for many of our customers from their initial inquiry through completion and payment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting customers and creating a professional, welcoming experience
Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers with questions
Advising customers on products and services, including window tint, paint protection film (PPF), ceramic coatings, and vehicle wraps
Learning the differences between our products and confidently explaining the benefits and appropriate applications of each
Asking questions to understand a customer's needs and recommending the right services for their vehicle
Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services that genuinely benefit the customer
Converting incoming phone calls and inquiries into scheduled appointments and sales
Following up promptly with leads submitted through our website and online contact forms
Following up with estimates and prospective customers who have not yet scheduled
Generating accurate customer estimates and invoices
Scheduling appointments and coordinating the work schedules of multiple installers
Managing the daily and upcoming shop schedule to ensure work is booked appropriately based on installer availability and job requirements
Communicating with installers regarding customer expectations, job details, scheduling, and vehicle status
Checking customers and vehicles in for scheduled services
Keeping customers informed regarding the status and completion of their vehicles
Checking customers out when services are completed
Collecting and processing customer payments
Maintaining accurate customer information, appointment details, estimates, invoices, and notes
Helping maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office and showroom

Learns quickly and retains product knowledge
Can listen to a customer's needs, ask good questions, and recommend the appropriate service
Can explain differences between products clearly and confidently
Can carry a conversation without sounding scripted or robotic
Is highly organized and capable of coordinating multiple appointments, installers, and changing schedules
Can prioritize tasks and stay composed when the phones are ringing and multiple customers need attention
Follows up consistently and doesn't allow potential customers or estimates to fall through the cracks
Takes initiative instead of constantly waiting to be told what to do
Is dependable, professional, punctual, and takes ownership of their responsibilities

What Success Looks Like in This Role

After training, we want you to be able to take ownership of the customer experience.

If a customer calls and says:

"I'm interested in getting my windows tinted, but I don't know which film I need."

"What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?"

"I'm buying a new vehicle—what would you recommend to protect it?"

We want someone who can confidently have that conversation, ask the right questions, educate the customer, recommend the appropriate products, prepare an estimate, close the sale, and schedule the work correctly.

At the same time, you'll need to understand our installers' capabilities and schedules so that you're putting the right jobs with the right people at the right times.

This position requires someone who can balance excellent customer service, sales, product knowledge, and organization.

We're looking for someone who wants to become knowledgeable and excellent at what they do—not someone who simply wants to sit behind a desk and answer phones.

Experience

Previous experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, automotive service advising, or front-office management is a plus.

Automotive experience is helpful but not required.

Experience with scheduling, estimates, invoicing, customer follow-up, or point-of-sale systems is also beneficial.

Most importantly, we're looking for the right personality, aptitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

We will train the right person on our specific products and services.
