Full Job Description

Part-Time Bookkeeper Manufacturer’s Representative / Distributor

Position Overview We are a manufacturer’s representative and distributor seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online skills. This flexible role (15–25 hours per week) handles day-to-day financial operations, initially in-office based with possible future hybrid .

Key Responsibilities

Record and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online (sales commissions, vendor invoices, customer payments, freight charges, and expense reimbursements).
Manage accounts receivable: create and send invoices, track payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and apply receipts.
Handle accounts payable: process vendor bills, enter purchase orders, schedule payments, and reconcile statements.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash regularly.
Process sales commission calculations for payroll .
Via Quickbooks verify submittal of payroll taxes, file sales tax and prepare other compliance items (including 1099s).
Assist with month-end close: journal entries, basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, checking reconciliation), and support for the CPA.
Maintain organized digital records and track inventory-related costs as needed.
Work with ownership and the sales team to resolve discrepancies and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping experience (small business, distribution, wholesale, or manufacturer’s rep preferred).
Advanced QuickBooks Online skills (certification a plus); comfortable with multi-user access, custom reports, and common integrations.
Solid understanding of double-entry accounting, A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, and sales tax.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
Proficient in Excel.
High integrity and discretion with financial information.
Flexible availability for part-time hours.

Bonus Familiarity with inventory/cost tracking in limited distribution environment.
