Full Job Description

Position Summary / Purpose

Create high levels of customer satisfaction by exceeding their expectations and fulfilling the company’s contractual obligations through the timely and profitable delivery of our (cleaning and restoration) services.

Exceed established standards of production performance through continuous process improvement and training and development of production staff.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspections for water, fire, mold, and storm damage to assess scope of loss and restoration needs
Develop detailed, accurate estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate)
Prepare complete scopes of work including mitigation, contents, reconstruction, and specialty trades
Interpret insurance policies, coverage limits, and carrier guidelines to ensure compliant estimating
Communicate directly with insurance adjusters, property owners, and project managers to negotiate scope and pricing
Submit estimates, supplements, photos, moisture readings, and documentation to insurance carriers in a timely manner
Identify discrepancies in carrier estimates and prepare supplements and revisions as needed
Coordinate with mitigation and reconstruction teams to ensure estimates align with field conditions
Track claim progress, approvals, and payment status to support project cash flow
Maintain detailed claim files including photos, diagrams, notes, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with IICRC standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
Provide customer education regarding the restoration process, timelines, and insurance requirements
Support project managers with change orders, scope revisions, and job close-out documentation

Constructive Confrontation - Has the ability to solicit process and integrate inputs and ideas from subordinates, peers and executives. Recognizes areas of conflict or disagreement and deals with them through open and honest dialogue. Effectively provides feedback
Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Technology – the individual regularly uses standard word processing and spreadsheet software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy of work performed, effectively uses communication devices and technology to collect, review and forward field activity reporting.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience

High School or GED plus four (4) to five (5) years of experience in cleaning / restoration industry or associates (2-year) degree in business-related field and a minimum of three (3) years experience in cleaning / restoration industry. Team leader or supervisory responsibility experience preferred.

Financial Reports and Budgeting

Basic understanding of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and budgeting. Ability to review completed job costing, assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

Technical skills

Experience writing estimates with Xactimate is a plus
Advanced technical skills, experience and certification in the restoration services the company provides.

Mathematical skills

Adequate math skills. Able to quickly and effectively translate remaining work into manpower planning, project completion times, and review and assess labor time reporting. Effectively project job costs based on work remaining.

Computer skills

Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of computers and computer software, especially MS Word and Excel. Experience with Xactimate software is a plus
Listening skills
Effective in receiving feedback and input from employees and customers, probing for additional information or unspoken issues and providing timely response.
