Full Job Description

MTK Healthcare Inc. is Hiring!Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics (OB) | Night Shift

Location: Mile Bluff Medical Center – Mauston, WI 53948
Contract: Travel Assignment
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 6 (12-hour) shifts per pay period, every 3rd weekend
Pay Rate: $70.00 – $75.00 per Hour
EMR: Meditech

Job Overview

MTK Healthcare Inc. is seeking an experienced Obstetrics Registered Nurse (OB RN) to join the Labor & Delivery team at Mile Bluff Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have strong experience providing comprehensive care for maternal and newborn patients in a fast-paced obstetrical setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Active Wisconsin RN License
Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
BLS Certification (AHA) within 1 month of hire
NRP Certification within 6 months of hire
STABLE Certification within 1 year of hire
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year of hire
Strong Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and provide nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns
Triage obstetric patients based on presenting symptoms
Monitor labor progression and manage inductions and cervical ripening
Interpret fetal heart monitoring accurately
Administer medications and provide patient education
Manage obstetrical emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, breech delivery, prolapsed cord, placenta previa, abruptio placenta, uterine rupture, and precipitous delivery
Assess newborns and recognize conditions requiring advanced care
Perform neonatal resuscitation within certification guidelines
Monitor newborns for hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice, and neonatal sepsis
Collaborate effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech EMR
