Overview
Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Aide / Med Tech, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in a vibrant senior living or long-term care community. This vital role combines hands-on caregiving with medical support, ensuring residents receive personalized care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. Whether assisting with daily activities or monitoring health status, you’ll be at the forefront of creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment for those we serve. Your energy and compassion will help foster a community where residents feel valued and supported every day.

Responsibilities

Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Monitor vital signs regularly, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track residents’ health status.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration tailored to individual dietary needs.
Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing specialized care plans and engaging in therapeutic activities that promote cognitive function.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards.
Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred.
Certification or training in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR are advantageous.
Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, or memory care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of long-term care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is beneficial.
Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster positive relationships with residents and team members.
Valid driver’s license for driving duties related to resident outings or appointments is preferred but not mandatory. Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
