Full Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Quality Manager

1) Effective Date: 08/2026

2) Basic Function: Oversee the Quality Management System and day to day function of the Audit Department. Is a strategic leader and a member of the Leadership Team.

3) Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the President. This position does supervise others.

4) Authority: The Quality Manager has the authority to stop production and stop shipments to customers if parts do not meet print specifications.

5) Responsibilities: (What should be accomplished)

Quality Management system compliance to the ISO 9001 Standards
Internal compliance to our Quality Management System
Development and modification of control plans
PPAP creation. Modifications& submissions
Meet corporate PPM annual goal
Gage calibration
Internal audits of our Quality Management System
Inspection of incoming raw materials, components and parts from subcontract.
Find 45,000 in annual cost reduction
Supplier Performance reporting: quality and on time delivery

6) Principle Duties: (Tasks)

Customer audits and 8D requests
Manage PTO request from staff
Quarterly 555 meetings with staff
Provide customers with RMA’s
Provide performance data to Leadership team and other managers
Review daily check sheet data
Annual ISO Audits (both internal and external.
Biweekly L10’s for Audit Department

7) Standards of Performance

Corporate PPM
ISO Certification
Customer Satisfaction of availability and reaction time.

Education & Experience:

Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality.
Minimum experience required: This position requires three to five years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
License or certificate required: None is required.
Proficient in the use and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
Proficient in the use of standard measuring equipment. ie: micrometers, optical comparators, and dial indicators

This position works with parts and gauges in production areas and in the inspection laboratory.

The specific job duties affected by the environmental conditions include:

This position works in Lab where there is moderate noise, as well as in production areas where there is loud and very loud noise.

Protective clothing/equipment required:

Safety glasses with side shields when in production areas
Steel toe shoes when in production areas
Hearing protection when in production areas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
